Neurofeedback is an EEG-based Biofeedback technique that has the potential to aid in the treatment of ADHD symptoms, sleep problems, and self-regulation for improved sleep. It has shown positive effects in psychology practice and occupational therapy, making it a viable therapy option for children, adolescents, and adults.
The neurocare academy is proud to have longstanding connections with pioneering researchers and clinicians who specialize in evidence-based applications of Neurofeedback. We exclusively endorse specific Neurofeedback protocols that have undergone rigorous testing and scientific analysis, including Neurofeedback of Slow Cortical Potentials (SCP), Theta/Beta training, and Sensory Motor Rhythm (SMR) training. Our aim is to assist healthcare professionals in learning these techniques through our two comprehensive training pathways.
If you are a professional seeking BCIA (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance) accreditation, we highly recommend beginning with our comprehensive online course on Neurofeedback for ADHD and Insomnia.
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the theory, science, and cutting-edge techniques in Neurofeedback.
For healthcare professionals interested in the technique of SCP (Slow Cortical Potentials) Neurofeedback, we have a dedicated learning pathway for this technique. Users can start to learn through the online course Neurofeedback for Slow Cortical Potentials.
Once you have successfully completed either of these online courses, we extend an invitation for you to receive personalized hands-on guidance at one of our clinics located in Sydney or Melbourne. Alternatively, we can arrange for our team to come to your location and provide tailored training for your entire team. Please contact us to discuss a customised training solution.
Neurofeedback in ADHD & Insomnia: BCIA Course
Overview
This course covers the latest research and evidence for Neurofeedback as a therapy tool for ADHD and sleep problems. It has a particular focus on the importance of QEEG in personalising therapy programs and discussing relevant theory.
Through the course you will gain familiarity in three key evidence-based Neurofeedback protocols: Theta/Beta, SMR (Sensory Motor Rhythm) and SCP (Slow Cortical Potentials).
The course will also demonstrate how simple, wearable Actigraphy Sleep Assessments can inform our interpretation of QEEG and devise an appropriate neurofeedback therapy program.
Accreditation
Completion of both the online and practical component of this course will count towards the 26 hour didactic for BCIA (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance).
This course is not pre-accredited by professional bodies, but can be included as part of clinician’s self-guided CPD activities.
