James is a General & Performance Psychologist, having completed a Master of Psychology (Sport & Exercise) at the University of Queensland. He is warm, authentic and client-focused. Through James' philosophy and commitment, is to treat clients as equals, as fellow human beings, recognizing each person is the expert of their own experience.

With a passion to help each individual move towards and maximise potential, James wants to improve the way we live, work, and behave in all aspects of our lives that are meaningful to us. His goal is to ensure  each client has the resources and skills to manage their mental health and wellbeing. He recognises that each person is different, with unique strengths and values. As such, James’ approach is to co-create personalised strategies for helping his clients be the person they want to be.

His approach draws from a wide variety of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, Neurofeedback, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT),  and Neuroscience-informed Practice. His approach draws from a variety of disciplines and focuses on the commonalities and interconnections between these approaches. His priority is to distil the essence of what works practically by focussing on practical tools that produce results.

James works in areas such anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, motivation, ADHD and other psychological areas. He is also equipped to work on performance enhancement in areas such as sport, business, music, and performing arts.
James is passionate about health and fitness and plays basketball, in addition to spending time exercising at the gym and walking. He also loves to watch the NBA (basketball) spending time with his dogs, exploring nature, and relaxing with friends and family.
