With over 12 years of clinical experience, Samantha takes an individualised approach to ADHD treatment and is skilled at helping clients through stress and trauma.
Samantha offers neuropsychological assessments to address intellectual functioning, giftedness, specific learning disabilities, ADHD, and general cognitive concerns. She is experienced in neurofeedback and neurostimulation in the management and treatment of a range of mental health concerns including anxiety and depression.
Samantha completed a Bachelor of Psychology and Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University. Her doctoral thesis focused on determining how adults can return to productivity (being that employment or study) following trauma and stress. She has over 12 years of clinical experience working in both the public and private sectors with a wide range of clients, presenting with neurological and psychological disorders. She has a special interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and assists families and individuals through assessment and diagnosis as well as guiding the implementation of effective behavioural strategies to better manage their difficulties. She understands how the brain and a person’s cognition and thinking can impact their mental health and behaviour.
Samantha is a warm and empathic clinician who takes the time to listen to her clients, understand their concerns, and ensure they feel comfortable and relaxed. She believes in guiding her clients through the assessment and/or therapy process, ensuring they remain informed and empowered throughout the process. She takes an individualised and tailored approach to all her clients and is passionate about helping people through a holistic approach to their health and wellbeing. Samantha believes in a strength-based approach, where the focus is shifted from an individual’s areas of weakness and difficulty to their strengths and utilising these strengths to overcome challenges.
