Kelly Hagen is a violinist and fiddle player living in Nashville, Tennessee. Her life today is filled with live shows, teaching, and touring—things that require immense presence, focus, and emotional strength. But for much of her life, none of that seemed possible.
Kelly’s struggle with depression began when she was just 13. Despite appearing successful and driven on the outside, she was in deep emotional pain. “I didn’t fit the typical image of someone with depression,” she explains. “I was achieving things, but I was absolutely miserable.”
Over the years, Kelly tried everything the traditional treatment world had to offer—multiple medications, drug combinations, augmentation strategies—nothing worked. By the time she was 21, she was emotionally exhausted and losing hope.
Then came a late-night Google search, where her mother stumbled across TMS therapy. They didn’t know much about it, but they were willing to try. That decision became a turning point.
TMS gave Kelly the clarity and emotional stability she’d been missing for nearly a decade. It allowed her to re-engage with her music, her students, and her life. “There would be no possible way for me to do my current line of work without TMS,” she says.
Perhaps most importantly, TMS helped restore her will to live. “Before TMS, I was done. Post-TMS, I’m the healthiest, happiest version of myself.” The therapy not only saved her—it empowered her to thrive.
Kelly’s story is an inspiration to anyone who feels they’ve run out of options. There is hope—and there is help.
